"This simple framework was developed by Jasper (2013) and is based on building understanding from experience. The key component is that of action, as this feeds learning through reflection forward into future experiences"

This past week I have received the feedback that I have to use more academic references and references to reflective writing models. At first, I was surprised by this as I read through the reading list and researched the various models that we can use, so I thought I was writing reflectively, but alas I have been informed that my writing is beginning to be more descriptive as opposed to reflective. Now I have decided to look back on my writing so far and see in what areas I can improve in. I have realised that at times I do go off-topic and could go into further detail about what I am specifically learning from each experience. In this case, I guess I could reflect on the fact that it doesn't matter if you read all the books and do all the research if you do not show how you are using that information and referencing it, you will fail to show that you have any knowledge and understanding of what is being asked of you. So I am now going to be making a conscious effort to reference the various models of reflective writing each week in my blog posts as well as in my development. I like to watch YouTube videos as well as read journal articles, listen to podcasts, and use imagery to help me understand the theories and models, so I will make sure to add these to more of my blogs as well as just reference the books. Today for example I have used the ERA model to write this blog and have included a photo to show what that is and the steps that you follow.
I shall be doing another blog post this week at some point about where I am at with my project, how I am feeling, and what my next steps are.
