SMART Plan
Specific - My goal for this project is to produce a YouTube and Podcast that shows my using my creative makeup on someone with an interesting story to tell. I will also gain the knowledge I need to start my own business. I will produce a body of work that shows my development as a creative and reflect on everything I do. I will produce a weekly blog with reflective posts on all work and I hope to work with a cinematographer who will help me to recode and then produce a prototype of the show. Doing all of this will show the skills and knowledge I have gained throughout this BA Degree in Creative Enterprises and that I can work independently and follow my initiative.
Measurable – The first assessment for this class will take place on the 23rd of April 2024 in the form of a Dragons Den style, 15-minute presentation that is worth 50% of the grade. The second assessment is a 2000-word Business development report, due on the 7th of May 2024 that’s worth 50% of the overall grade. The goal is an overall A grade, but I will also be happy with a B or even a C. I will meet with my tutors Claire and Kathrine frequently throughout the year and receive feedback on my work as I go along. I will then receive my overall grade at a later stage after completing the whole unit.
Achievable - I know I am more than capable of achieving the results that I desire if I stick to my time scale plan and keep up with the tasks given out. I cannot predict the future and I do not know if anything will happen to change my current plan but if I stick to it everything will go great.
Relevant - By doing this unit I get to show all the skills and knowledge I have gained in makeup and hair. I choose to do the degree as I want to learn to be a creative entrepreneur, and this is something I previously have no knowledge or understanding of how to do. After graduating I also plan to work in Theatre/Editorial/Fashion Makeup as my profession and hopefully doing a YouTube show also, as it is something I am passionate about and truly get enjoyment out of.
Time Bound - I have 2 main deadlines for this unit that being the 23 April 2024 and the 7th of May. To make sure I meet this deadline I created a week-by-week timescale plan that I keep in my notebook and give myself weekly tasks that I must be completed within a certain timeframe period.

Model/Interviewee
For my model aka the person I am interviewing, I am looking to do a female boss from the Fife area as this is where I am from, and I think this would very empowering. I have investigated and now have a few people in mind that I am thinking of reaching out to and asking them if this would be something they are interested in doing. I want to book a location first though as I want to be able to give them as much information as possible so that they can consider thoroughly if they can do it or not.
Location
I think finding a location will be slightly tricky, as I need somewhere that has good emanates, a place to set a space to film and record as well as somewhere that everyone can get to and that doesn’t have to much of an echo or feedback from the area around us as we are recording a podcast as well as filming a video. These are some locations that I am considering.
The Studio Leven – this venue offers a conference room space that would be good to use especially as it will have the space needed to set everything up and will have an intimate feel to it. Rather than hiring an echoey hall that will not work well when recording.

The Adam Smith Theatre -Another space I have found that I could potentially hire is a room at The Adam Smith Theatre called the Exchange. As it is newly refurbished it has up to date amenities, the room has a lot of natural light, and you have the option to set up the room to meeting your requirements. It is also a small and intimate space but is still rather big and can house from 24 to 56 people depending on the layout of the room.

Cinematographer
I have been fortunate in the sense that I already know someone that can film, record and edit my video and podcast for me. Her name is Stephanie Douglas and I have worked with her previously on other projects such as my graded unit that I done in my 2nd year of my HND Makeup Artistry. She helped me to film and edited the entire video for me for that project, which helped me tremendously and I received and A grade for. So, I am looking forward to working with her again on this project as she has a lot of skills and knowledge.

My overall budget for this project is £400. Below is a small breakdown of how much I have put aside for the everything I will need in order to create the prototype of my idea.
