Week 8

This week i discovered Google scholar. i never knew sucha thing exsisted. Talk about life-changing. It has made doing my research and analysis much easier and I'm more confident that the information I am gathering is from a reliable source. I have been looking into how to make YouTube videos and even added a how-to video to my research. Then I was looking into podcasting and came across a great podcast that really explained what it is all about. I have fallen a bit behind with my blogs and that is my own fault, but I shall endeavor to keep them updated as best as I possibly can. This week I did create a day in the life TikTok as I wanted to get back to creating content for my social media again. It also allows me to practice and gain an understanding of what I like and don't like about filming videos and how I can improve. I am on track with my timeframe though and should be moving on to my planning soon in the next couple of weeks and hopefully get that all done before the New Year.

Week 7

Task :

Experiment with processes, materials, mediums, or techniques to further develop ideas and specialist skill set.  

Produce designs/ideas/experiments towards your plan. This could include making sure your plan/project is written up and that you have a loose timescale plan, all to be added to your blog. 

This week have created a monthly task sheet and time frame. I first wrote it all out in my notebook, and then I have done what I call a “smart” one on Word,then converted it to a jpeg and uploaded it to its own subpage. I find that I like these things to be colourful, rather than plain black and white. I think this because it adds an element of fun and allows me to take in the information better. This week I hope to start my research and analysis. I have already done some for my other class but for this class, I also need to look what the YouTube and podcast industry is like? How would I create these? What other shows are out there already that are like my idea? I also need to look at my current skills and knowledge and see what areas I need to improve on and what I need to learn. I will do this through doing a SWOT analysis. I’m looking forward to getting stuck into the project as I have a strong idea of what I want to do and what my end goal/project will look like.  

Week 6

I am currently researching my industry. It's been fun to investigate it all and what it all has to offer. Regarding my project for this class I have been looking into podcasts and YouTube videos and what makes everyone's so unique. I know I need to bring my personality to my idea as that is what will make it stand out. I ned to be confident in my abilities and stop doubting myself. In the next few weeks, I hope to be working with a graphic designer so that I can start developing a brand logo. This week though its Halloween which means one thing. Spooky makeup!! I have done a couple of looks that’s I have posted above. To be honest I sort of lost my passion for a bit there when it comes to do doing makeup. I think when studying something for so long sometimes takes the fun out of it. With doing this course though I have had time to rediscover my love for all things makeup and really focus on what I want to do next in my journey as a makeup artist I will post a link below to a podcast I really enjoyed listening to. I was called “Become a full-time content creator in 2023(your 12-month plan!)” by Creator Club – Social Media Marketing & Content Creation. I was so interesting to hear about how to get from A to B. a lot of people don’t talk about this business side of things when it comes to online content creation as then more people would realise easy could be to become one thus taking away from their own pocket. Though with this podcast it great to hear from someone that has been through this entire process and now want to help others do the same and create their own success. For me I always find it helpful to have a plan and set myself deadlines as this helps me keep track of all my goals and the progress that I am making. Without a plan of some kind, I would be all over the place and have no clue where to start. Listening to this help me form a plan of action for my project though I would be doing exactly what they suggest a lot of what they were talking about will help me on my way to having a successful show/business.
