May 8th – Dragons Den? A piece of cake
I did it! Presentation? Nailed it. Damn, those nerves were on overdrive before I started, but once I got into it, I was in my element. Gotta give props to that morning coffee for revving me up! Made some last-minute tweaks in class, separating those videos onto different slides to keep things smooth. And guess what? I ended up going earlier than planned, which was a total relief cause it killed some of the pre-show jitters.
Now, the panel situation had me sweating bullets. But then, boom! Yvonne, my OG makeup lecturer, was there. Talk about fate, right? It felt like a full-circle moment having her there, watching me bring it home.
Sure, I might've talked a bit too fast, but hey, I made sure my slides were eye candy without being overwhelming. Hit all the marks, and those panel smiles? Total win. They were vibing with my ideas and even asked about the money side of things. But I had my business model canvas ready to roll, breaking down how I'd rake in the cash with ads, product links, live streams—you name it.
Looking back, I'm stoked about how far I've come. Confidence? Check. Comfort zone? Left that sucker in the dust. Bring on the next challenge—I'm ready.
