March 11th – Getting Prepared
Guess what? I've got an interviewee lined up! Her name is Tiffani Ferrier, and she's a young interior designer from Fife, Scotland. I'm over the moon that I've found someone who's happy to be interviewed.
Next week, we have the filming and recording day. Stephanie (my media person) and I have been discussing the set-up, lighting, and equipment. I know I want pink and purple lights on a white backdrop to go with the branding and logo that I had developed.
I am feeling rather nervous about the filming day. As a makeup artist, I am used to being behind the camera, not in front of it. But, as Carol Dweck talks about in her growth mindset theory, I know that stepping out of my comfort zone is where the real growth happens. I know it will go well though. I am trying not to set my expectations too high as I know that this is only a pilot/prototype. It's not going to be perfect, there will be a few bumps in the road, and that's okay.
